QAIHC showcased the broad range of career opportunities in the ACCHO sector to senior high school students at the #GoHealth Careers Expo at Brisbane’s RNA Showground in June.

The #GoHealth Careers Expo was supported by CheckUp with collaboration between Queensland Health, Health Gateway to Industry Schools Program and health organisations across Queensland, designed to connect students in years 10-12 with industry leaders.

As part of QAIHC’s commitment to supporting the ACCHO sector, the Policy and Research team chatted with students about the sector as a long-term employer, training opportunities, and the variety of jobs available.

To highlight the range of careers, QAIHC’s Design and Communications teams produced a series of videos with staff from the ACCHO sector, with jobs ranging from medical Officers, Aboriginal Health Workers, communications officers and administration support.

Greg Richards, General Manager, Policy and Research, thanked staff from Apunipima Cape York Health Council, Wuchopperen and Mookai Rosie Bi-Bayan for taking the time out of their busy workday to be interviewed by QAIHC.  These videos allow the students to hear directly from staff working in our Member Services and see the range of opportunities available.
